Thank you for joining with us to worship together through praying and singing, and through hearing and engaging with God’s Word.
Have someone lead your group in a prayer of adoration, exalting and glorifying God for who He is. You may use this prayer as a guide.
How excellent is your lovingkindness, O God! The children of men put their trust under the shadow of your wings. Your mercy is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear You, and your righteousness unto our children’s children! In Your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore. We praise You God and ask that You show Yourself among us today as we worship and glorify Your name.
Worship: Join your group in worshipping the Lord as you watch these videos. The lyrics are on the screen. As you sing, focus on God and His glorious attributes. Sing to Him and give Him the praise He deserves.
Sermon: Listen as Brother Justin shares a message on Psalm 23:6 and reflects on The Beautiful Journey Home. Open your heart to God’s Word and be prepared for reflection, discussion and response.
Reflect on these questions and discuss with your family, friends and/or GCG:
1. What aspects of our lives reflect we truly believe that our Father’s house awaits us? What aspects would be different?

2. In what ways have you seen or known that God’s goodness and mercy were pursuing you? What moments in your life have made it hard for you to believe this is true?

3. What evidence is there that you are leaving goodness and mercy behind as you live each day?

4. What tangible ways are you demonstrating to the world around you that the Father’s house (family) is awaiting them?

Have someone pray a prayer of confession for the group. You may use this prayer as a guide:

Heavenly Father, we confess that we don’t live as if we truly believe that you prepare a place for us. We are searching for our home in things of this world and they leave us with unrest and dissatisfaction. We forsake your goodness and mercy for lesser things, but we are thankful that You came into this dark world as a light of hope and redemption. You gave Your life to make a home for us, where we can find rest and peace, where we no longer hunger or thirst. Thank You Jesus for Your great sacrifice for us.

Closing Prayer: Have someone in your group close in a prayer of supplication and asking the Spirit to transform us by His grace. You may use this prayer as a guide.

Holy Spirit, prepare our hearts to receive Your goodness and mercy. Root out our sin and idolatry so that we can worship You and cling to You in the midst of trials and suffering. Help us to look forward to our heavenly home in which we will enjoy Your presence forever. We need You to remind us of the frailty and futility of this world so that we can live with eternity in our hearts. Fill us with Your peace and love, in Jesus name, Amen.
